X-Kote 1967 Mustang. Paint Restoration, Protection and Scratch Repair

X-Kote is a revolutionary product that is not a wax or polish, but a coating applied to your vehicles finish after it has been prepped, wet sanded and polished. The X-Kote paint restoration coating cures and bonds permanently to the factory finish leaving a smooth, clear and deep coating. The result is an incredibly vivid colour with depth and shine. As Kote bonds to the factory finish it also fills in any scratches and causes them to all but disappear. But most importantly as X-Kote restores your factory finish and is not a wax that will wash off, that brand new shine will last as long as if it were a new.

Check out these vehicles we have recently X-Kote'd

Red Mustang X-Kote Paint Restoration

Click here to check some pictures of this late 80's red Mustang that we brought back to life with our X-Kote Paint Restoration.

Normally if you tried this on an old oxidized red paint job the color would fade back to it's original dull, faded look within weeks. After cut polishing and wet sanding this Mustang we applied the X-kote Paint Restoration which brought back it's original shine, filled in any scratches. As X-Kote reactivates and chemically bonds to the factory clear coat this cars paint job will looks this good for years!

So this classic has a new lease on life with it's beautifully shinny red paint job.

Best part is, that it's still the original paint!

A question about Touch-Less washes

I had a customer ask me this question;

Ryan...is the drive through wash hard on the paint with the chemicals?

So I thought I would post my response, just in case anyone else is curious;

There are two thoughts on this.
Yes, touch-less wash cleaning soaps can be strong, but there is no friction to damage the clear coat.
Hand washing is good, but it does wear the clear coat and often when a vehicle is dirty you are essentially rubbing the grit over your vehicles paint as you hand wash it.
In my experience the cars that look the worst over time are the ones that get hand washed often and rarely waxed.
The very best thing you can do for your vehicle is to wash it via a touch-less wash 2 to 4 times per month.
Then once a month hand wash it, as a touch-less wash does tend to leave a film over time and finally be sure to wax your vehicle at least twice a year.
A well waxed vehicle will have a barrier between the grit and the paint to help protect it when hand washing, plus a touch-less wash will work much better on a well waxed car.
Hope that helps!
Ryan.

Clean Car More Fuel Efficient?

In 2002, an engineer named Tom Wagner Jr., in an article on money saving tips, reported improved fuel efficiency after giving his car a scrub down. Myth Busters scored a point for the enterprizing engineer by proving that the only money you'll save motoring around in a dirty car is quarters at the car wash. Visit Myth Busters Web Site to read the article.
